Ready for Xanga Videos?

We’ve been whipping out tons of new features – and Xanga Videos is almost out of beta! In the meantime, we’ve been having a lot of fun making videos here at Xanga HQ: office wall climbing, dogs chasing their tails, and bowling for water bottles!

Also today, Dave (aka video jedi) just took that cool filmstrip-like-navigation from photos and added it to Videos.

Now you can browse what other videos a person has – so if you see some good content, check out the other videos by clicking one from their filmstrip! You can start uploading videos here:

We’re just a few days away from Xanga Video going live. It’s all coming together – Photoblogs, Videoblogs… and soon audioblogs. Are you ready?

about the age verifier… we can print out a form and mail/fax it to you.. can we scan it in and email it to you along with a scan of our birth certificiate/license/whatever?

does xanga have to do everything myspace does?

oh, and if you do a video thing, can you please make it not require nonexistant software (the most recent version of flash player for linux (and freebsd) is 7).
requiring flash player at all is evil enough. why do they have to go the extra mile and require a version that doesn’t exist yet?

I like the idea of video, but I can’t help but be cynical about audio blog feature. I can sit through a videoblog and watch it; but I don’t think I have the patience to sit through a audio-book-style blog. It just sounds so boring.
